Victoria, BC | the Victoria Syphony big Splash by Herb Neufeld

Date: July 31st @ 7:30pm to 10:00pm
Location: Victoria Inner Harbour
Website: http://victoriasymphony.ca/community/splash/

“The sun sets to the sounds of the Victoria Symphony performing for the hushed crowd gathered on the shores around the Inner Harbour. Kayaks and dingies bob around the barge upon which the Symphony plays. The sky darkens; the city lights warm the horizon, and eventually the unmistakable notes of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture mark the beginning of the end of this spectacular concert on the water. The music builds, reaches its crescendo as the cannons explode and the sky erupts into fireworks! Everyone is on their feet clapping showing their appreciation for one of the finest weekends of the year.”

This is one of the busiest events of the year, with people lining up from sunrise to get the best viewing spots. A few bleachers are set up limited seating that is reserved in advance. A portion of the marina will be reserved for groups and the rest is first come first serve. Reserve now or take your chances on the day of the event!
