Exhibit of Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia

Are you interested in learning more about the history and treasures of Cambodia?

Just a few blocks from the Royal Scot Hotel, the Royal BC Museum will be hosting 120 spectacular artifacts and pieces of artwork from the ancient temple of Angkor Wat. Formally a bustling community of craftsmen, ruling class members and a specialized priesthood, this exhibition will have a variety of interactive exhibits, audio clips and films which are fun for all ages! As well as there will be a companion IMAX documentary film!

VICTORIA WATER BALLET IS BACK FOR THE SEASON

The beloved local tradition – Saturday Water Ballet – is back for another great season.

Inspired by the world-famous RCMP Musical Ride, the “Pickle Boat” captains are able to make their boats twirl around the water in and out of beautifully choreographed sequences and create a synchronized performance.

Looking for the best seats in the house? Head over to the Steamship terminal (a couple of minutes from our Hotel) to see it in action.

James Bay Market

Not only are we finally welcoming spring but also the return of the James Bay Market!

On every Saturday from the dates of May 6 until October 7 community members of all ages come together to sell unique quality artisan creations, organic produce, fresh pastries and local spirits at the James Bay Community Market. All products come from local growers and makers from all over Vancouver Island. Not only are there Vancouver Island produced food carts with ready to eat lunches, snacks, and wine, there is also local entertainment from the hours of 10:30am – 2:30pm. A great way to spend a weekend morning either rain or shine!

The James Bay Market is located just steps away from the Royal Scot Hotel on the corner of Menzies and Superior St.

The Market Collective will be starting their “Meet the Makers” series located in the Bay Center Mall. Only a few minutes’ walk from the hotel or a short ride in our complimentary shuttle! The market will include around 40+ local and handmade Artisans, it will take place the first Saturday from the months of February to June during the hours of 10am to 6pm.
