The Magic of Christmas at Butchart Gardens

December 1st, 2010 marks the start of the 24th season of festive Christmas displays.
Tens of thousands of coloured lights combine with evergreen swags and wreaths of holly and winter berries to line walkways and festoon lamp posts. The ever-popular Twelve Days of Christmas displays are tucked away about The Gardens.

From 5 pm to 9 pm in the Piazza you will find lively performances featuring traditional caroling and music. Enjoy some recreational ice skating on the outdoor rink. Skating is available daily during admission hours.  Visit their website for more information.

Christmas Comes Alive at The Bay Centre

Experience Christmas at The Bay Centre this year from December 1 – 24. Set among twinkling lights hanging from the four-story galleria, centre court is transformed into an enchanted forest with beautiful live fir and deciduous trees accented by the sounds of a trickling river bed. Throughout the season, witness our enchanted forest come to life with interactive characters sharing gifts to delight and inspire. Live music and roaming carolers set the tone and soothes the soul as you choose heartfelt gifts for your loved ones. You won’t want to miss it, as Christmas Comes Alive at The Bay Centre.

Island Farms Santa’s Light Parade

The Island Farms Santa Light Parade routinely draws crowds of more than 40,000 to the streets of Victoria to take part in a festive celebration of the winter holidays. Bands, floats and even Santa himself will parade through the streets spreading cheer and joy to all in sight. And in addition to the great time, the Island Farms Santa Light Parade also helps to raise awareness and food items for the Mustard Seed Food Bank. This year share in the wonder of the holidays while helping those less fortunate. It is an amazing event for the whole family on November 27th @ 5:30 pm.
