Victoria Day Parade - Begins at 9:00 am on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Mayfair Mall (3147 Douglas Street) and travels to downtown ending just past the Parliament Buildings.  You can expect to spend about 3 hours (if you want to take it all in) watching marching bands, clowns, floats and more.  What a great way to spend the day!


Luxton Pro Rodeo – If bull riding is more your style, head to the Luxton Pro Rodeo this weekend to take in all the action.  Check out the website for more info.

Loudon Wainwright III wrote his first song in 1968, “Edgar”, and was soon signed to Atlantic Records.  His recording career spans a total of 23 albums, including 2009’s Grammy-winning “High Wide & Handsome”.  He has written music for film and television as well, and songs of his have been recorded by such diverse artists as Johnny Cash, Earl Scruggs, Rufus Wainwright, and Mose Allison (among others).  His newest release is 2010’s “Songs for the New Depression”.
