Celebrating its 60th year, The National Ballet of Canada returns to Victoria with an evening of exciting mixed repertoire that has garnered awards and critical accolades. Pite’s Emergence received four Dora Awards when it premiered in 2009. Kudelka’s The Man in Black set to six Johnny Cash covers was reviewed as “surprisingly simple in its approach and genius in its outcome” (Dance Magazine). Forsythe’s the second detail has lived in NBoC’s repertoire since 1991 and has been called “a masterpiece” (Toronto Sun) in 2008.
