The city is heating up, summer is here and there are so many reasons to rediscover Victoria!
With so many opportunities to enjoy this amazing city, from wonderful dining experiences, great shopping and beautiful scenery I thought you might want to learn some of the little treasures that maybe only locals really know about. So for those who visit Victoria often for all the usual reasons, maybe it’s time your family took a long weekend. With all the great deals to be had right now, I have to ask, how can you not?
So here are some great events coming up this July…
The Victoria Shakespeare Society returns with its sixth consecutive summer festival. This year the Society is excited to present Much Ado About Nothing and The Tempest at the Camosun College Lansdowne Campus.
Chamber Music of the Highest Order…
July 21 to August 1, 2009
Saturday, July 25th, 2009
Ten years of light! Luminara is celebrating its tenth year of illumination, music and cultural diversity. Inspired by the many festivals of light held in countries around the world, Luminara has become a tradition in Victoria, and every year the community turns out in glowing costumes with homemade lanterns to find the candle-lit installations and local performers in the dark of Beacon Hill Park.
More Hidden Gems!
And then lets not forget the amazing beaches Victora has to offer…
Saanich’s Gyro Park, Mount Douglas Park, Uplands Park/Cattle Point, Willows Beach, Island View Park, Sidney Spit Marine Park, Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park, Thetis Lake Park, Witty’s Lagoon, Sooke Potholes, French Beach Provincial Park, China Beach, Mystic Beach
Wow, I love this city!
