Keep an eye out for a few main attractions in the museum:

Engine Room: This room is filled with various types of engines ranging from small to large that have shaped the way navel transportation has evolved.
Trekka: In 1959, this ship was the smallest ship to travel around the world. Learn about her story in this exhibit!
Modelmania: One of the largest collections in Canada, the Maritime Museum features over 400 model airplanes. Some of these models originate from as far back as ancient civilization!

The Maritime Museum always has featured exhibits, so be sure to check out these as well!

Did you know?

The Maritime Museum will be moving closer to the Royal Scot! The museum is moving into the Steamship Terminal, located on the Inner Harbour. This means that it will only be a few minutes away from our hotel.

Furthermore, moving to the Steamship Terminal will allow the Maritime Museum to showcase boat exhibits alongside its building. Eventually, Dorothy and Trekka, boats that were used in the 1900’s, will be sitting in the water beside the Steamship Terminal for people to view!
