The 34th annual GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon will take place on Sunday, October 13th.

This is one of the largest running events in Victoria and includes various distances to suit a variety of running abilities. One can choose to complete either the Marathon, Half Marathon, 8k Road Race or the Thrifty Foods Kids Run and Marathon.

Victoria Vintage Expo

The Victoria Vintage Expo will feature over 70 vendors and exhibitors with a variety of vintage items including clothing, jewelry, accessories, records, decor, art, furniture and vintage inspired items! 

This event will also feature vintage hair and beauty demos, a fashion history show with garments from the 1860′s-1960′s, a best dressed contest and so much more!

Victoria International Chalk Art Festival

Bring the family to Canada’s largest chalk festival! This festival is a wonderful celebration of chalk art and presents a collection of international and local chalk artists including many members of our First Nations community.

Join in the excitement downtown and watch a renowned international 3D chalk artist create a 20 by 20ft 3D chalk art painting at The Bay Centre’s lower level, centre court. The painting will begin mid-week and build to an exciting finish on the festival weekend.

18th Annual English Car Affair in the Park

Vancouver Island Blues Bash

The Saanich Fair

Victoria Classic Boat Festival

Classic wooden boats of all shapes and sizes will meet for the 36th annual Classic Boat Festival this September Labour Day weekend.

The Victoria Classic Boat Festival attracts the finest power, sail and steam boats from the Pacific Northwest and around the world. A number of the vessels will be open to the public over the weekend and the Sunday morning Sailpast is always a great sight!

Victoria Dragon Boat Festival

Location: Victoria’s Inner Harbour

Come and experience one of Victoria’s most spectacular summer festivals and the only Dragon Boat Festival in Canada to take place in a working harbour.
90 Dragon Boat Teams from across North America are set to race across a 500-metre water course in Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour.

The event will open with Taoist Priests blessing the boats and “awakening the dragons” on Friday, August 16th at 1:00pm. The races will take place on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th.  Spectators will get to enjoy the races from the best grandstand on the West Coast and cheer on the paddlers in one of the most beautiful and exciting venues for Dragon Boat Races in the world.

This event will have something for the entire family to enjoy, including two stages of entertainment, a kids’ tent and food from around the world in the Forbidden City Food Court.

Celebrate BC Day

If you’re looking for some free, fun activities for the whole family this BC Day, take them down to Celebrate BC Day at St. Ann’s Academy.

Festivities will feature the finest from the province’s talented creators and artists, selected through a successful province-wide public submission process that took place this past May. Festivities will include:

BC Eats Stage, a live food stage featuring Vancouver Island chefs.

Sounds of BC, live performances from bands from around the province including Delhi 2 Dublin and Bobs and LoLo.

Through the BC Lens, a showcase including short videos from five BC filmmakers.

Capture BC, a photography exhibit displaying submissions from BC residents, as well as an archival display.

There will be plenty for kids to do with a craft tent, interactive photo booth and participatory music ensemble. There will also be a selection of food vendors on-site as well as a local market selling all sorts of goodies!
