Car Free YYJ

Hosted by the Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) Victoria will have its first car free day. DVBA is closing down Victoria’s busiest street to have three stages holding music, entertainment and talent throughout the event. Retail and business vendors, artisans, makers, food vendors and trucks will line the street.

TD Victoria International JazzFest

Running since 1985, the Victoria Jazz Society has produced this major multi-day music festival every summer. This event formerly known as JazzFest International, is a ten-day festival featuring the jazz, blues and world music of local, Canadian, and internationally acclaimed musicians.

Aboriginal Cultural Festival

Victoria is proud again to be the host for the BC Aboriginal Cultural festival. This three day event will be a celebration of Aboriginal peoples, arts, and culture. The festival is hosted on the traditional territory of Esquimalt and Songhees Nations in Victoria.

13th Annual Sooke River Bluegrass Festival

Hospice’s 10th Annual Teeny Tiny Garden Tour

Oak Bay Tea Party

Fred’s NineTAle-A Morris Dancing Extravaganza!

Morris dancing is a centuries-old English tradition done by teams of dancers called “sides”. It’s lively, energetic and fun and is always done to live music on traditional instruments. This celebration is for the 90th birthday on one of the dancers Fred. So enjoy the music and lively Morris capers, wish Fred a happy birthday and try a dance or two!
Several Morris sides called and “Ale” will be gathered with performances by smaller groups in the morning at James Bay Market, Langford Market, Bastion Square, Market Square and Centennial Square. The mass dance with all sides will be dancing in front of the Legislative Buildings from 3:30pm – 5:oopm (complete with town crier!)
